What is the best way to place an order?

The best way to place an order is by completing the form on the Contact Us page. An Account Manager will reply within 1-2 business days to review your needs.

Can I select specific books in my order?

Unfortunately, no. We do offer 6 book categories. When you Contact Us regarding orders, please use the comments field to let us know which categories you’re interested in. The minimum purchase requirement for the wholesale book program is 10 gaylords of books (roughly 8,000 books). If you’re interested in purchasing specific titles or authors, please visit www.thriftbooks.com.

Can I purchase different categories of books and place them in the same order?

Yes, when completing the order form on the Contact Us page, please note your desired quantity of gaylords (approx. 800 books per gaylord) for each category in the comments field. Once you place an order with an Account Manager, our warehouse staff will package the books according to your specifications. Please note that we cannot mix book categories in the same gaylord.

How many duplicate titles will I get in each gaylord?

Because each gaylord is unique, it’s impossible to say for sure. We can assure you, however, that you will get a rich variety of titles in each gaylord that you purchase.

How much does a gaylord of books weigh?

It varies depending on the category of books but generally 800 to 1,000 lbs.

How many gaylords can I fit in a container?

May I visit the warehouse and look at the books in person before I make my decision?

Can I place an order on your retail website and then have you include those books in my wholesale order?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate this request. Our retail and wholesale business operate independently of each another.

Can I get a bigger discount if I purchase from you on a consistent basis?

We review each buyer on a case-by-case basis. After you have an established buying history with us, your Account Manager can review your account (order volume and frequency) to determine whether any additional discounts can be applied.

What are my payment options?

We currently accept wire transfers, credit card, PayPal, and checks. Credit card payments incur an additional 3% fee, PayPal incurs a 3.5% fee, and a bank wire is a $35 fee. Once your funds clear our bank we can ship your order.
